On 08.05.2019, an application was received at P/S Reasi from one Om Parkash Sharma R/o Reasi that alleging therein that some unknown persons have created fake facebook accounts of his minor daughter (name withheld). The said fake accounts have been opened in the name of “Neha Pandit” & “Pooja Sharma” wherein the unknown culprits have posted the photographs of his daughter, wife and other family members and is posting obscene & vulgar messages on social media through these fake account. The said culprits are even posting pornographic material on the mobile phone of his daughter and even calls his daughter frequently and blackmails her on the count that if she does not respond to his wishes, he will defame her and her family through these fake accounts. Moreover, the said culprits have hacked the facebook details of one more girl (Name withheld) of Bhambla and is blackmailing her on the same pattern through the same phone numbers.
On this complaint, a case FIR No. 92/2019 U/S 66 (c) IT Act, 509/RPC, 12 POCSO Act was registered at P/S Reasi and investigation started. During the course of investigation, SSP Reasi Ms Nisha Nathyal constituted a special team comprising of Inspr. Ashwani Sharma SHO P/S Reasi, SI Purshatam Sharma I/C PP Jyotipuram to investigate the said sensational case. The said team after strenuous efforts and seeking technical assistance from Cyber Cell Reasi was able to identify the accused as Ghar Singh S/o Thouru Ram R/o Village Diwan Garh Camp, Jabowal Khurd, Adhlehar Jammu, who is presently working as Havaldar in Central Force. The said accused used to operate from his unit at Nasirabad Cantt. Ajmer Rajasthan.
On this, a special team led by Inspr. Ashwani Sharma SHO P/S Reasi alongwith SI Purshatam Sharma I/C PP Jyotipuram and HC Mohd Iqbal of P/S Reasi was dispatched to place of posting of the accused i.e. Nasirabad Cantt. Ajmer Rajasthan through an arrest Warrant, but the said accused was found to be on leave. After a lot of hard work, finally the police team succeeded to arrest the said accused today on 28.05.2019 from Reasi where the accused was trying to manage his bail in the said case.
It is pertinent to mention here that the said accused person in the garb of central force use to create many fake accounts of the females and used to post vulgar and obscene messages/photographs and use to blackmail them through different mobile numbers of Rajasthan State. The said accused is already wanted in different FIRs registered at P/Ss Bakshi Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Domana, Rajouri etc.
The said operation was carried out under the supervision of Sh Wasim Mehmood Hamdani Dy.SP Hqrs Reasi, Sh Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan ASP Reasi, and under the overall supervision of Ms Nisha Nathyal Sr. Superintendent of Police, Reasi.
